WiMNet lab first year Ph.D. student Alon Levin received the Byron Fellowship from the Columbia School of Engineering and Applied Science. Alon’s current research is in full-duplex wireless systems, as part of the FlexICoN project; more broadly, his research interests lie in wireless communications, compressed sensing, PHY layer algorithms, cognitive radio, and network security. Alon received his B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering (magna cum laude) in 2020 and a M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering in 2021, both from The Cooper Union, where he was the recipient of the Cooper Union Innovator Merit Scholarship and the Radio Club of America Scholarship Award, as well membership in the Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu engineering honor societies.
