Dr. Jelena Diakonikolas (Marasevic) received the Electrical Engineering Collaborative Research Award
Former WiMNet Ph.D. student Dr. Jelena Diakonikolas (nee Marasevic) received the Electrical Engineering Collaborative Research Award. The award is “presented to Ph.D. candidates who make a superb contribution to a collaborative research effort”. The award recognizes her excellent contribution to the FlexICoN project and her role in leading the collaborations within the project over the past few years.
While studying towards the Ph.D., Jelena received the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship, the GENI GREE’13 Best Educational Paper Award, the Millman Award for an Outstanding Teaching Assistant, the Columbia University Electrical Engineering Master’s Award of Excellence. She was selected to participate in the MIT EECS 2015 Rising Stars workshop and as one of 10 women in networking/communications that you should watch. More recently she received the Morton B. Friedman Memorial Prize for Excellence.
