Jelena Marasevic to Participate in the MIT Rising Stars in EECS Workshop
WiMNet Ph.D. student Jelena Marašević was recently selected to participate in the 2015 MIT Rising Stars in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Workshop. This annual academic career workshop brings together about 60 top female graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. The workshop will feature scientific discussions and informal sessions aimed at navigating early stages of the academic career. At the workshop, Jelena will present a poster about her work on full-duplex that was performed as part of the FlexICoN project.
Jelena joined the WiMNet lab in 2011, after completing her B.Sc. degree at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. She completed her M.S. degree at Columbia University in 2012, and received the Masters Award of Excellence and a Jacob Millman Prize for Excellence in Teaching Assistance. She is also a recipient of the Best Educational Paper Award at the 2nd GENI Research and Educational Experimentation workshop (GREE2013). Earlier this year, Jelena received the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship for a joint cross-disciplinary project on full-duplex wireless along with Jin Zhou, a Ph.D. student in the CoSMIC lab.
