Mahshid Ghasemi deposited her Ph.D. dissertation
Mahshid Ghasemi (co-advised with Prof. Javad Ghaderi) deposited her Ph.D. Dissertation titled “Scalable Edge-Cloud Architectures for Real-Time Video Analytics Applications: Design and Deployment.”Over the past few years, Mahshid has made major contributions to WiMNet lab’s efforts in the areas of smart streetscapes and edge-cloud video analytics. She was an important early contributor to the research efforts in the NSF Center for Smart Streetscapes (CS3) Engineering Research Center (ERC). While studying towards the Ph.D., Mahshid received the Columbia Presidential Fellowship, Columbia Electrical Engineering Armstrong Memorial Award, the CS3 Accelerator Program Ignition Award, and the ACM/IEEE Symposium on Edge Computing (SEC’25) Best Paper Award.
