Quantum Networking Demo received 2nd Place Best Demo Award at MERIF

The Midscale Experimental Research Infrastructure Forum (MERIF 2026) took place in Washington DC this week. MERIF brings together NSF-supported research infrastructure providers and users to share best practices, reduce barriers to access, and strengthen cross-facility, reproducible research across the CISE community.
During the demo and poster night, 23 demos and posters were presented. WiMNet PhD students John Drogo and Shivalee Shah presented a demo titled “Building a Quantum COSMOS” which is based on joint work with Jhonatan Tavori, Dimitrios Katramatos, Sebastian Will, Eden Figueroa, and Gil Zussman and summarizes the integration of the PAWR COSMOS testbed infrastructure components in support of the NSF SCY-QNet quantum network.
The demo was awarded the 2nd Best Place Demo Award.
