Varun Gupta defended his Ph.D. thesis

image001Varun Gupta successfully defended his Ph.D. Thesis titled “Measurement-Driven Algorithm and System Design for Wireless and Datacenter Networks”.

Varun’s thesis focused on the design of architectures and algorithms for wireless and data center network. In particular, he led the AMuSe project where he conducted extensive experimental performance evaluation of systems for wireless multicast. While studying towards the Ph.D., his paper was selected as a Runner-up for the Best Paper Award in IEEE INFOCOM’17, he was selected to participate in the NYC Media Lab Combine program, and he received the Second place prize for a demo in the NYC Media Lab Summit.

Varun will join AT&T Labs Research.
